Zeri
Matchup Summary
Zeri is a pretty easy match up for Renekton, however Renekton needs to use minions to avoid taking her Q damage, as well as using his dashes to force instant burst combos to easily kill her. Zeri doesn't really have any resistance to deal with Renekton, however she can use her E to jump over walls, so try to avoid that to prevent her from escaping. Renekton can rush full damage or go Plated Steelcaps, which overall depends on his intentions. Renekton should try to play waves on his side of the map, eventually using his dashes and R to help run down and kill Zeri from overextending. Zeri's damage is more prevelvant through the later stages of the game, so make sure to abuse your early lead to help win the game and take every major objective.

Level 1 E Start - Try to cheese PTA proc or Conq with E1 > 3 auto's > disengage with E2.

Play For Level 2/3 Kill Angle - Once you chunk out Zeri you're most likely able to kill her with your W, Dash or Flash up. Look to shove the wave around your kill timer, so you're able to make Zeri lose a lot more.

Play Around Minions - Zeri's main aspect of her kit is her Q, which is basically her Auto attack. Use the minions to force trades with E and then use them to protect against the incoming damage. As long as you’re always weaving in and out of them or her attacks, Zeri won’t be able to really do anything.

Play Wave On Your Side - Play Wave On Your Side - Playing the wave on your side essentially means playing wave states on your side of the map, via abusing wave manipulation tactics or freezing on your side of the map. Simply use this to help you combo on your laner, taking away any space from them being able to trade you back (This also helps prevent the enemy running you down with their extended or sustained movement speed abilities). You can also use this wave state to run down your opponent with your abilities up, helping you obtain kills a lot easier vs stalemate or ranged match ups. Look to do this when your opponents are below 50% HP, or potentially make a mistake to provide you an all in opportunity to run them down.

Avoid Playing Next To Wall - Zeri's only form of escape is using the walls, so most times you try to fight her she will look to try and use the wall to escape. Avoid comboing next to walls, or try to do as much damage as you can then look to dive her with her E being on cooldown.

Heavy Trades - Being that Renekton carries a lot of high damage, Renekton is able to just jump on his target nearly at will. Whenever your laners present you with the ability to jump on them, simply take the opportunity to burst them as much as you can. If you didn't kill them already from that, use your options of freezing or your tower diving ability to help you finish off your opponent.

Respect Her R - Zeri's R allows her to gain 10% movement and additional MS for hitting her targets and additional Q damage with a lowered cast time, overall providing her a giant powerspike for fights. Try to bait it out and look to disengage, never fight her directly with R unless you’re able to stick onto her via items or dashes.

Build Plated Steelcaps, Eclipse, or Stridebreaker - Go Plated Steelcaps to lower Zeri’s overall damage and utilise the additional movement speed. / Go Eclipse for consistent power through mid game and damage mitigation with the shield. / Go Stridebreaker to cripple Zeri's mobility and provide teammates with additional utility. / Go Profane for full damage focused playstyles.

Midgame + Teamfighting Tips - Zeri's win condition is playing for flanks using R to unload on her massive damage within teamfights. Try to deny this by using vision to spot her out, and try to counter her flank by positioning towards it and trying to one shot Zeri with your W. Zeri can’t do much without peel supports, but in solo lane and most likely for her teams composition, she will not be able to get the necessary peel to help her within the fights.
