Detailed Tips

   Level 1 E Start - Try to cheese PTA proc or Conq with E1 > 3 auto's > disengage with E2.

   Play For Level 2/3 Kill Angle - Once you chunk out Reenta you're most likely able to kill her with your W, Dash or Flash up. Look to shove the wave around your kill timer, so you're able to make Reneta lose a lot more.

3. 03

   Abuse Renekton's Early Game - In this match up Renekton is essentially able to do whatever he simply wants. With that said, really hone into your strong early to mid game strengths to help you dominate and win the game. Play to deny your enemy of gold and xp, play to proxy and generally lead any top side skirmishes with your insane lane advantage.

   Heavy Trades - Heavy Trades - Being that Renekton carries a lot of high damage, Renekton is able to just jump on his target nearly at will. Whenever your laners present you with the ability to jump on them, simply take the opportunity to burst them as much as you can. If you didn't kill them already from that, use your options of freezing or your tower diving ability to help you finish off your opponent.

   Respect Renata W - Reneta’s playstyle is usually pretty annoying in being able to cuck your ability to finish off kills, especially when it comes to her W ability. If she uses W on a dying target, they will stay alive until the end of the cast or if they secure a kill or assist. As Renekton, our damage is usually so high we’re always able to one shot our targets, however if they do have Reneta W on them, try to exit the fight as fast as possible or try to prevent them from killing your allies to revive them.

   Play Wave On Your Side - Playing the wave on your side essentially means playing wave states on your side of the map, via abusing wave manipulation tactics or freezing on your side of the map. Simply use this to help you combo on your laner, taking away any space from them being able to trade you back (This also helps prevent the enemy running you down with their extended or sustained movement speed abilities). You can also use this wave state to run down your opponent with your abilities up, helping you obtain kills a lot easier vs stalemate or ranged match ups. Look to do this when your opponents are below 50% HP, or potentially make a mistake to provide you an all in opportunity to run them down.

   Avoid Renata R AOE - Renata’s main usage as a pick is playing around her R, which allows her to hard counter engage style champions such as Renekton, to help provide her team the opportunity to take advantage of her strong game changing ult. When playing vs Reneta, always try to avoid being in her R gas, as this will lead to your teammates dealing tons of damage to one another, as well as locking you down vs the enemy team. Try to bait pick and run style fights, allowing you to bait the R, or look to kill people in isolation to avoid Reneta’s counter engage strategy.

   Build Eclipse, Stridebreaker or BoTRK Go Eclipse for consistent power through mid game and damage mitigation with the shield. / Go Stridebreaker to cripple Reneta’s mobility and provide teammates with additional utility. / Go BoTRK to one shot and snowball with a damage focused build.

   Mid Game + Teamfighting Tips - As previously mentioned, Reneta’s core strengths revolve around her W and R, in the objective of keeping her carries alive, or using her R to counter any engage or disrupt her opponents chances of winning a fight. As Renekton it can be very annoying when trying to one shot targets later on in the game, as her ability to keep her targets alive as well as how easy it is to obtain kill resets to survive is way higher than the laning phase, or early skirmishes. To avoid any possible mistakes vs Reneta, try to pay attention to her W, to either wait it out on her target or if available try to one shot them with the ability of disengaging right after. Try to also fight with the aim of baiting out Reneta R, as this can also severely increase your chances of winning vs her. While baiting out her R in solo queue is hard, try to at least look for isolated picks and use your side lane pressure to hard abuse Reneta’s weak side laning ability, with the objective of also picking her off or her team when they’re isolated.
