Detailed Tips

1. 01

   Defend First Minion Wave - While more uncommon these days, Singed can still potentially proxy level 1 depending on if he takes Ghost to help him be annoying and kite out with his poison damage active. To stop Singed from proxying with success, you can walk with your minion wave level 1 to prevent him from proxying, while giving you the opportunity to kill him if he tries this strategy.

2. 02

   Level 1 Q Start - Try to push for level 2 advantage while poking Singed with your Q, Singed will try to actively push for level 2 to take his E, so with that try to contest wave push while trading back with auto attacks if he comes close. Keep in mind, if he runs into you he will proc his poison alongside his Conqueror rune, allowing him to do a lot of damage within the process. Try to actively space backwards and keep your HP through good kiting, then posture more aggressively when reaching level 2.

   Play For Level 2/3 Kill Angle - Once you chunk out Singed at any point through level 1 and 2, you're most likely able to kill him with your W, Dash or Flash up. Look to shove the wave around your kill timer, so you're able to make Singed lose a lot more.

   DONT CHASE SINGED - Singed can be a very boring and inactive lane if he knows what he is doing, so if Singed tries to proxy on repeat, just ignore it and focus on getting minions until someone is around to help you stop him. Singed can be very negative in his ability to slow with W, fling you the opposite direction, as well as getting slow based items like Rylai’s to perma slow and make you irrelevant. Focus on amassing a giant farm score, with the intention of joining grubs or any skirmishes on your side of the map. Alternatively, you can also proxy back on his side of the map if you want to counter his tempo advantage of killing waves, as this will help you match recall timers with Singed.

5. 05

   Ping Singed’s Movements - Singed being the annoying champion that he is, will try to actively proxy into roaming in your jungle or running mid lane. With that said, try to always ping where he is so your teammates can play accordingly towards it. Without pinging, Singed will be able to constantly gank and join fights when your team least expects it. Don’t try to chase Singed, simply farm and keep your gold and XP up.

   Respect Singed W - If Singed is in lane, try to avoid shoving up and being in his tower range, as he can W towards his tower looking to E you into it. Try to keep wave states towards the middle, as Singed cannot fling you towards his tower and you will be able to get more productive trades against him. Do note that Singed W can also prevent you from E’ing or using your flash, so try to actively walk out of it or bait it out with short clicks to put it onto CD.

   Respect And W Buffer His E - A trick you can do into Singed, is using your W into his E frame, preventing Singed from maximising on his fling to kite you out effectively. If doing this successfully, you can E right after his fling to help you stay on top and trade back against him.

8. 08

   Abuse Renekton's R Powerspike - Once you reach level 6 your ultimate will essentially help you consistently stat check and dominate any match ups you were winning or losing. Make sure to always wait for your R CD to help you make plays, otherwise it will lead you towards a major disadvantage in dueling your enemies.

   Avoid Fighting Singed R - Singed R allows him to get an abundance of stats, allowing him to be a lot stronger within fights. Most often if Singed R’s, try to play to disengage if he’s near full HP, as his stats are simply too strong for Renekton to even deal with. If Singed is low, you can look to killing him, but be aware he also gains additional HP regen.

    Build Hexdrinker, Eclipse, Black Cleaver or BoTRK - Go Hexdrinker to lower Singed's overall damage and have a MR shield. / Build Eclipse, Black Cleaver or BoTRK - Go Eclipse for consistent power through mid game and damage mitigation with the shield. / Go Black Cleaver for additional CDR and other versatile stats for utility based gameplay. / Go BoTRK to one shot and snowball with a damage focused build.

    Mid Game + Teamfighting Tips - Singed’s role is to essentially be an annoying plague every chance he gets, meaning he will look to constantly skirmish with his movement speed in trying to force and obtain kills. Beating Singed entirely counts on preventing his plays with pings, or communicating his roams. If you’re able to gain a giant farm lead, you will be able to use it to help you kill the rest of his teammates. Playing with TP is very helpful in this match up, as you’re able to farm in side lane and look for active plays on the map. It’s very important to use TP effectively as that will help you find relevancy within all stages of the game. When it comes to teamfights, try to focus onto Singed’s carries as his default role will be trying to engage onto your own. The Difference between Renekton and Singed, is that Renekton’s damage and utility is a lot higher than what Singed can provide, allowing you to easily play teamfights with more flexibility. Try to avoid Singed making the first move, as typically Singed succeeds if he Ghosts up towards an unsure team, allowing him to set up his plays right away.
