Xin Zhao
Matchup Summary
Xin Zhao is a very easy match up for Renekton, due to his low stats and linear kit providing Renekton a free win within most duels. Xin Zhao's only threat is his level 1, where he will try to look to cheese with his E start and rush level 2 towards his Q. Renekton can fight off Xin Zhao taking W start, or Q with Conqueror, allowing him to heavily chunk out Xin or kill him in the process. after level 3 Renekton can do whatever he wants, as Renekton's stats simply become too much for Xin Zhao to deal with. Within the mid stages of the game, Renekton also heavily outscales with his pick, providing Renekton more ways to play the game in comparison to Xin Zhao.

Respect Xin Zhao's First Two Levels - Xin Zhao's first two levels are very strong compared to the rest of the match up. Within the first two levels, Xin will try to E start into Q level 2. Try to simply wait out till level 3, or simply hard push with Q for level 2, then skill W to fight Xin Zhao and win.

Abuse Renekton's Early Game - In this match up Renekton is essentially able to do whatever he simply wants. With that said, really hone into your strong early to mid game strengths to help you dominate and win the game. Play to deny your enemy of gold and xp, play to proxy and generally lead any top side skirmishes with your insane lane advantage.

Play Waves Accordingly - Simply assess whether or not you want to freeze, to help you deny XP and CS, while presenting yourself more opportunities to create fights. Or, play to shove waves to create proxy angles, tempo resets or create a dive opportunity. Renekton has all the cards to do whatever he wants with wave management. Also respect that if your laner tries to proxy, simply proxy back or coordinate a kill on them with your jungler.

Respect Xin Zhao's Gank Setup - The only thing Xin can do is slow you with his E, and knock up with his 3rd Q. As long as you're not getting hit by his 3rd Q and you dash at the right time, Xin Zhao will never really be able to lock you down with his jungler.

Quick Trades - E > Q > AA > W > AA > E Out / E > Q > W > E / E Q E - These combos allow for Renekton to get quick damage off in being able to keep health up and whittling his opponent down, use these to get your laner low and look for a low HP kill with flash.

Ping Xin Zhao’s Roams - Xin naturally succeeds in his ganking style playstyle, hence why he is mainly played as a jungler. With that said, Xin will look to roam to mid lane or in your jungle, make sure to ping your team his whereabouts and punish him with freezes or crashing the wave in if he’s able to miss a lot.

Build Plated Steelcaps, Eclipse or BoTRK - Go Plated Steelcaps to lower Xin’s overall damage. / Go Eclipse for consistent power through mid game and damage mitigation with the shield. / Go BoTRK to one shot and snowball with a damage focused build.

Midgame And Teamfighting Tips - Naturally Xin Zhao's power is more focused within the early stage of the game, which he usually abuses through the jungle. As a top lane pick he falls off really hard to offer much damage or utility, meaning he isn't that great when it comes to teamplay. His only hint of success is through pick and catch plays, in which if you guide your team not to get caught and never give him those moments, he simply will not be able to do anything.
