Kha'zix
Matchup Summary
Kha'Zix is a complete troll pick into Renekton, as Renekton's way of playing will constantly take away from Kha'Zix assassin style of playstyle. Kha'Zix's core stats are simply too weak to fight Renekton, however if Renekton has no cooldowns and is fighting in isolation, Kha'zix can do a lot of damage to help him secure his kills. Make sure to always be around minions or your team when fighting Kha'Zix, as he won't be able to utilise his isolation passive. Through the rest of the game, his only role will be trying to pick off any squishy targets, in which we counteract this by focusing him as soon as he appears in vision.

Respect Kha'Zix Isolation Passive - Kha’Zix’s main strength within duels is abusing his passive, which allows him to deal bonus damage based on his targets being isolated. Alongside this, Kha’Zix’s auto attack also slows and deals bonus damage every time he goes out of vision through using bushes, or using his R. When fighting Kha’Zix early, try to prevent being away from your minions as he’s unable to abuse his isolation damage, giving him essentially no damage to really compete against Renekton.

Level 1 Q or E Start - As mentioned through other notes, playing off Q and E both require different plays, however in this match up you can essentially do either of them and have pretty good success. With that said, play around the strengths of level 1 and look for a level 2 kill.

Play For Level 2/3 Kill Angle - Once you chunk out Kha’Zix you're most likely able to kill him with your W, Dash or Flash up. Look to shove the wave around your kill timer, so you're able to make Kha’Zix lose a lot more.

Abuse Renekton's Early Game - In this match up Renekton is essentially able to do whatever he simply wants. With that said, really hone into your strong early to mid game strengths to help you dominate and win the game. Play to deny your enemy of gold and xp, play to proxy and generally lead any top side skirmishes with your insane lane advantage.

Heavy Trades - Being that Renekton carries a lot of high damage, Renekton is able to just jump on his target nearly at will. Whenever your laners present you with the ability to jump on them, simply take the opportunity to burst them as much as you can. If you didn't kill them already from that, use your options of freezing or your tower diving ability to help you finish off your opponent.

Play Waves Accordingly - Simply assess whether or not you want to play for freeze, to help you deny XP and CS, while presenting yourself more opportunities to create fights. Or, play to shove waves to create proxy angles, tempo resets or create a dive opportunity. Renekton has all the cards to do whatever he wants with wave management. Also respect that if your laner tries to proxy, simply proxy back or coordinate a kill on them with your jungler.

Ping Kha'Zix Roams - Kha’Zix cannot really achieve much into Renekton, so he’s most likely choice to play the game is to look for skirmishes or roam towards mid lane. Kha’Zix’s damage can always be impactful if he’s able to isolate his targets, therefore providing him a comeback condition in being able to snowball the game. Try to always ping Kha’Zix’s roam attempts whenever he isn’t in the lane, and if your jungler is trying to skirmish for a river or grubs, make sure to prioritise those objectives to help you snowball through top side of the map.

3 Points Q > W Max - This playstyle allows you to constantly have W’s to help you stay onto Kha’Zix while abusing your high damage ratios, allowing you to easily snowball and permanently shutdown Kha’Zix within all stages of the game. Make sure to put 3 points into your early wave clear and poke, then look to max W throughout the rest of your points. Once completed, max your E for additional mobility to help enable your up close stun abusing playstyle.

Build Eclipse, Black Cleaver or BoTRK - Go Eclipse for consistent power through mid game and damage mitigation with the shield. / Go Black Cleaver for additional CDR and other versatile stats for utility based gameplay. / Go BoTRK to one shot and snowball with a damage focused build.

Mid Game + Teamfighting Tips - Kha’Zix’s main role towards the game, is using his assassin based playstyle to help him burst down carry targets to help him gain objective or tower priority. Kha’Zix’s whole playstyle simply works around his stealth, using his R to set up his engages towards a target, or playing on fog of war waiting for people to walk into his isolated range. As Renekton, his damage doesn’t really offer us any problematic situations, however for our teammates it’s very much in our best interest to make sure we stick to them in any mid game objective timers. Using wards to spot out his initial flank positions is very important, or being able to use red trinkets will help us locate his movements. Typically if Kha’Zix breaks stealth, we can use our W to stun Kha’Zix in place, allowing us to easily one shot him with how squishy he is. Overall, being that he’s a top lane Kha’Zix, his overall power level will be a lot weaker than he would be in the jungle, however we should play with the intent to always protect our teammates from his play making potential as that’s enough to help him obtain objectives for his team.
