Detailed Tips

1. 01

   Respect Udyr's Level 1 Cheese - Udyr in general doesn’t have a lot of tools to deal with Renekton, as everything Udyr can do, Renekton can essentially do it way better. Udyr level 1 however can leverage a giant lead for himself if he is able to utilise his Empowered Q or R stance to poke out Renekton. If Udyr starts Q, try to take W and fight in your minion wave while trying to space away with W. You do potentially have a chance to kill him if you play it right, but ultimately you don’t need to go for a long trade vs him, just W and walk away. If Udyr skills Q, simply take Q and try not to get hit by his empowered Q. Udyr will most likely assert push, but depending on how much HP you have, you will regain full lane control by level 3 onwards.

   Don't Fight His Empowered Stance - As already mentioned, Udyr’s power comes overall from his empowered stance. If you try to 1v1 Udyr with his Q stance, he will absolutely obliterate you if you’re isolated, so make sure to be near minions or teammates to prevent his total damage. Udyr with empowered R is also a similar situation, but instead he will play to poke you out and try to focus on proxying, or shoving waves. Try to just avoid getting hit by R and equally shove the waves back as soon as he doesn’t have his empowered R. As long as Renekton plays around his strengths and avoids Udyr’s empowered abilities, Renekton will successfully stat check and easily deal with Udyr.

   Play Waves Accordingly - Simply assess whether or not you want to play for freeze, to help you deny XP and CS, while presenting yourself more opportunities to create fights. Or, play to shove waves to create proxy angles, tempo resets or create a dive opportunity. Renekton has all the cards to do whatever he wants with wave management. Also respect that if your laner tries to proxy, simply proxy back or coordinate a kill on them with your jungler.

   Quick Trades - E > Q > AA > W > AA > E Out / E > Q > W > E / - These combos allow for Renekton to get quick damage off in being able to keep health up and whittling his opponent down, use these to get your laner low and look for a low HP kill with flash.

5. 05

   Abuse Renekton's R Powerspike - Abuse Renekton's R Powerspike - Once you reach level 6 your ultimate will essentially help you consistently stat check and dominate any match ups you were winning or losing. Make sure to always wait for your R CD to help you make plays, otherwise it will lead you towards a major disadvantage in dueling your enemies.

   3 Points Q > W Max - W Max is pretty vital here as you’re able to consistently fight against Udyr with your abundance of stuns, while also being able to consistently shred against Udyr’s W shield while also preventing his hit and run playstyle. Simply utilise this to the fullest and play to heavy trade once reaching your maxed out W.

   Build Eclipse, Black Cleaver or BoTRK - Go Eclipse for consistent power through mid game and damage mitigation with the shield. / Go Black Cleaver for additional CDR and other versatile stats for utility based gameplay. / Go BoTRK to one shot and snowball with a damage focused build.

8. 08

   Mid Game + Teamfighting Tips - Renekton naturally outscales Udyr as the game progresses as he’s able to apply more utility through sustain, stuns and his empowered E shred. Udyr’s role is more so just to be annoying for your teammates, playing off his empowered abilities to catch out with his E, or trying to shred your teammates HP with his empowered Q or R. As Renekton try to initiate diving onto his teammates, if Udyr doesn’t pay attention to you diving the backline, your team will easily be able to deal with him while you’re soaking up pressure onto his own carries. With that said, try to ignore him and focus on his carries to win the fights.
