Respect Vi's HoB Cheese - Vi is really weird in this match up as she can practically perma die at will against Renekton, however level 1 she has a really toxic trading pattern with Q and HoB. All you really need to do is be aware Vi can cheese from bushes with her Q engage. Simply try to side step it if she is charging it in the open, or walk away from the range it will hit towards. Play to shove the wave as fast as you can, or simply give her push and wait for level 2 to start playing the match up.

Play For Level 2/3 Kill Angle - Once you chunk out Vi you're most likely able to kill her with your W, Dash or Flash up. Look to shove the wave around your kill timer, so you're able to make Vi lose a lot more.

Abuse Your Early Game - Abuse Renekton's Early Game - In this match up Renekton is essentially able to do whatever he simply wants. With that said, really hone into your strong early to mid game strengths to help you dominate and win the game. Play to deny your enemy of gold and xp, play to proxy and generally lead any top side skirmishes with your insane lane advantage.

Play Waves Accordingly - Simply assess whether or not you want to play for freeze, to help you deny XP and CS, while presenting yourself more opportunities to create fights. Or, play to shove waves to create proxy angles, tempo resets or create a dive opportunity. Renekton has all the cards to do whatever he wants with wave management. Also respect that if your laner tries to proxy, simply proxy back or coordinate a kill on them with your jungler.

Respect Vi R - Vi R is a powerful ability as she is able to simply point and click you with her dash, on top of locking you into the rest of her high damage combo. Try to take fights you're always in position to win, don't try to take fights vs multiple people with Vi present. In a 1v1 VI R doesn't have the same power as it does in teamfights.

3 Points Q > W Max - You can 3 points Q into W Max within this matchup, as Vi is a melee range match up. Renekton can consistently proc multiple W’s within a fight against Vi, simply making her unable to ever 1v1 or play against Renekton.

Build Eclipse, Black Cleaver or BoTRK - Go Eclipse for consistent power through mid game and damage mitigation with the shield / Go Black Cleaver for low CDs and for a variety of strong stats / Go BoTRK to one shot and play a more damage focused build.

Mid Game + Teamfighting Tips - Most typically this match ups is super free and Vi should be nothing more than an R bot. With that said, whoever gets ulted by Vi you need to protect. Try to just W combo Vi and one shot her from the fight, after that you can focus on the enemy carries or force any major objectives if they're present on the map.
