Detailed Tips

1. 01

   Level 1 E Start - Try to cheese PTA proc or Conq with E1 > 3 auto's > disengage with E2.

   Play For Level 2/3 Kill Angle - Once you chunk out Viktor you're most likely able to kill him with your W, Dash or Flash up. Look to shove the wave around your kill timer, so you're able to make Viktor lose a lot more.

   Respect Viktor's Passive - The way Viktor obtains his power within the game is farming for his Passive stacks. Viktor gains stacks from killing minions, he also gains stacks for killing champions (25 stacks), in which if he surpasses 100 stacks he can upgrade his ability. Try to always deny him fight opportunities by supporting your teammates, or try to instant shove waves so Viktor misses out on the ability to CS or try to roam.

   Abuse Renekton’s Mobility - Viktor's biggest weakness is fending off against mobility based champions that can surpass his W Stun. Renekton can use E1 to bait out the stun, then use E2 to reposition out of his W and cut off Viktor's path. Making the lane long ensures Viktor cannot run away, allowing you the ability to 100-0 him, or at least heavy trading with him.

   Play Wave On Your Side - Playing the wave on your side essentially means playing wave states on your side of the map, via abusing wave manipulation tactics or freezing on your side of the map. Simply use this to help you combo on your laner, taking away any space from them being able to trade you back (This also helps prevent the enemy running you down with their extended or sustained movement speed abilities). You can also use this wave state to run down your opponent with your abilities up, helping you obtain kills a lot easier vs stalemate or ranged match ups. Look to do this when your opponents are below 50% HP, or potentially make a mistake to provide you an all in opportunity to run them down.

   Buffer W Stun Vs His Stun - Following on from the last point, sometimes you may not be able to E2 out of his stun. Instead, Renekton can use W on the same frame as Viktor stun, so he can't utilise his movement to escape and kite you, presenting you the ability to still stay on top of him.

   Quick Trades - Quick Trades - E > Q > AA > W > AA > E Out / E > Q > W > E / E Q E - These combos allow for Renekton to get quick damage off in being able to keep health up and whittling his opponent down, use these to get your laner low and look for a low HP kill with flash.

   Build Mercury Treads, Eclipse, Stridebreaker or BoTRK - Go Mercury Treads to lower Viktor's overall damage, CC duration and his kite potential / Go Eclipse for consistent power through mid game and damage mitigation with the shield / Go Stridebreaker to cripple Viktor's mobility and provide teammates with additional utility / Go BoTRK to burst Viktor's high HP builds while also focusing on a full damage playstyle.

   Mid Game + Teamfighting Tips - Viktor's strength within the game is to burst down enemies with his high damage and scaling stats, while also providing mass utility through his stun and ultimate aoe slow. Renekton's role vs Viktor is simply trying to dive onto him and simply one shot him. Viktor typically struggles to deal with Renekton's high stats through his item builds, with that said Renekton can tank a lot of his damage while also being able to easily take him out the game. Make sure to shut him down before his R gets upgraded through each kill.
