Detailed Tips

1. 01

   Level 1 E Start - Try to cheese PTA proc or Conq with E1 > 3 auto's > disengage with E2.

   Play For Level 2/3 Kill Angle - Once you chunk out Vladimir you're most likely able to kill him with your W, Dash or Flash up. Look to shove the wave around your kill timer, so you're able to make Vladimir lose a lot more.

3. 03

   Respect Vladimir's Empowered Q - Vladimir Q heals Vladimir while doing a small amount of damage, however if Vladimir charges his Q towards 2 Stacks (Red Bar) Vladimir Q then does additional damage, as well as healing him based on his missing HP. Never stay in range when Vladimir has empowered Q, try to use bushes or walk out of his range till it runs out.

   Play Around Vlad W Timer - One of the biggest aspects of this match up is simply abusing Vladimir's W CD. Most typically you can bait out Vladimir W in a number of ways, using E into him is a common bait, or simply moving into him with your W active. Whichever way you do, right after his W goes onto a 28->16 Second CD at max rank. Renekton E ranges from 16>4 Second CD With CDR, with that said try to aim for your kill windows within this timer. Another Tips is that Vladimir uses 15% Current HP for his W resource, make sure to force damage after he uses it for more damage value.

   Play Wave On Your Side - Playing the wave on your side essentially means playing wave states on your side of the map, via abusing wave manipulation tactics or freezing on your side of the map. Simply use this to help you combo on your laner, taking away any space from them being able to trade you back (This also helps prevent the enemy running you down with their extended or sustained movement speed abilities). You can also use this wave state to run down your opponent with your abilities up, helping you obtain kills a lot easier vs stalemate or ranged match ups. Look to do this when your opponents are below 50% HP, or potentially make a mistake to provide you an all in opportunity to run them down.

6. 06

   Respect Vladimir's All In Combo - Vladimir players are as crazy as Darius players, when they smell blood they will look to E > Flash > Q2 > AA > R > W. This combo instantly throws out Vladimir's damage, and when paired with ignite can be really lethal. Try to not stand around with low HP unless you're trying to bait him into a fight.

7. 07

   Build Tier 2 Boots, Eclipse, Stridebreaker or BoTRK - Go Tier 2 Boots if Vladimir rushes boots. Vladimir having boots before Renekton completely changes the matchup in his favour, as he's able to lane consistent Q's. Rushing movement speed takes away this advantage. / Go Eclipse for consistent power through mid game and damage mitigation with the shield. / Go Stridebreaker to cripple Vladimir’s mobility and provide teammates with additional utility. / Go BoTRK to snowball and counter Vladimir's HP stacking, while also playing a more damage focused playstyle.

8. 08

   Mid Game And Teamfighting Tips - Vladimir's role is essentially to farm up towards his Deathcap powerspike then look for E > Flash > R plays. Before his powerspikes, try your best to deny him as much as you can within the game to the point he has to farm back up. In this time, use your top lane advantage to roam the map and take every objective you can while he is behind. Once Vladimir does have his item and joins fights, try to stun him as soon as he jumps onto your team and try to not stack against Vladimir R, otherwise he will heal massively through the fight. Always try to peel for your teammate carries and do as much damage as you can to Vladimir.
